Who is your client?

Many of you will answer me: the person that pays my bills.

Big mistake!
In the designing world, is really important for you to know who your real client is. Because many times when you work in a graphic studio or graphic design company, we meet people that we consult, for the approval or rejection of a certain design, and these people are not the client. In the majority of the cases, we might even speak about top executives, that are the ones in charge of transmitting the messages to the real client.

This is why you should always know who your client really is, and how many people have to approve your design before it reaches your real client hands.

OK then, but how do we assign in graphic designing: Who is your client?
We could say that it’s the person that handles the decisions over your design, for the good and also for the bad. Is the person that evaluates, judges and approves your art. Keep in mind, in order for you client to approuve your design (the on the designer thinks is the best for him) it’s important to control the creative process, and that you understand the message that the client wants to transmit.
