20 Sep, 2007
QU4TRO is presenting 10 advices on Webs 2.0. This article is somewhat old, but I find it really useful. This is without a doubt the best web page type there is in the market right now.
Simplicity:
The Web 2.0 wants to keep things clean and simple.
Central Layout:
Many web sites, including ARTEgami.com, are located in the center of the web browser.
Few Columns:
Since a couple of years ago, it was really common to see 4 or 5 columns on a page layout. And frames are also very common. Today many people use 2 or 3 top, it’s way better.
Separating the upper part:
This means that the upper part of the page will be completely different from the lower part of the page.
Simple Navigation:
The navigation bar will be user friendly, and it has to be located in every single page.
Strong logos:
This will make your design more powerful.
Strong colors: many bright colors are used, always highlighting the line-out of the design.
Glassy Surfaces:
The style used in Mac OS X. It uses many 3D effects, increasing the design quality.
Using blends:
The background of the page will be used to create a distant effect.
Reflects:
The Apple web page was one of the first in using this type of reflecting interface.
