ideabulb.jpgMany of us think that been a freelancer is the best thing that could happen in the world. Nothing like working from home. Been able to watch TV and having no one bossing you around. But not everything that shines is gold. Here I present you the most common freelancer myths. When we work at home we can sleep all day long:
If you’re working from your house doesn’t mean that you don’t have anything to do at all. This is why you have to be really responsible and dedicated, to avoid all temptations.

Working from home is non-productive:
Many people think that because they spend long hours in front of the PC, it means that we’re doing nothing. This is far from been real, if you’re in an office for example, it doesn’t mean you’re doing something productive either.

If you don’t have anything to do, go and become a teacher:
SO FALSE. Many people teach because they love to do it. Some people enjoy seen others learning and becoming professionals. And there are those as well that don’t like to share what they know, it’s up to the individual.

You can’t be a freelancer and an employee at the same time:
It’s not easy having two jobs at the same time, but the experiences you gain are priceless. You can learn the best and the worst of both worlds.

Mondays are boring:
Many people hate this day because here is when they have to go back to their jobs, after spending a happy weekend with their families. You shouldn’t see this like that, it’s not a bad thing, it’s a new challenge. The beginning of a new adventure.

Your folder has to be full with old works of yours:
It’s true that old designs and projects demonstrate experience and years of practice. But we constantly keep on learning, things keep on changing constantly. Start doing new projects and learning new techniques, go!

It’s easy to be an employee with a contract:
If you don’t look for clients, your freelancer career will end very fast.
