In WebDesignDev published an interesting recompilation with 1000 resources for designers (That will be useful for who don’t design too). It includes sites to search for icons, how to, scripts, online apps of all kind, plugins for Wordpress, articles, programs and templates for our blogs.

Those who work in Wordpress themes, or have a blog in this CMS, know that for having a lot of options for personalize it has some pieces of code that we should know.

A cheatsheet is a sheet for help in which are published the more important things and where we can find some details that we shouldn’t forget.

In NetTuts+ published a Wordpress cheatsheet, ver useful for all who have a blog in this CMS. It’s in PDF and includes codes about the structure of the template, the categories and the menu. It’s a resources needed b everyone, so I recommend to download and keep it nearly in case you need it.

Many want to know if we can create a template from scratch, and so when I see a tutorial that is well explained and with which we get a result I think of appealing to share it.  NetTuts recently published a guide that explains how to create a web template from scratch, modern, simple and original.

To start defining the structure of our site, picture your head and apply some life to the rest of the fund. With a little color will make it look more attractive and less “flat” for further development of the navigation menu. We place our search box, then we see the banners in the header and content. Looking for a CSS template? You should visit FreeCssTemplates to search for. It is a site with a collection of free CSS templates, which are features not take much to load, validate code, have incorporated images of public domain and be free under Creative Commons 2.5 license, which means in short that can be used to personal and commercial projects, taking into account leave the text link to the site creator.

CrazyLeafDesign published in a collection of five recently released Wordpress template designed by TemplateLite with them. Veremos themes two and three columns, usually with a grunge style subtle but present the same. Wordpress’s different to the other CMS (besides of course, all the benefits that allows us to have control on our site) that is behind a huge community of designers and developers who continuously throw new plugins, resources and themes for our blogs. Both free and payment is definitely for the CMS that we can find most things online, and that is an important point for us to continually renew.

In Printcreate published a list of 20 sites where you can find templates for Wordpress, great to see if you’re considering a redesign, or draw directly on a new site. All sites are in this case themes free, and easy traveling, choose who they like and adhere to the project design required to enjoy a newly renovated blog.

100 Wordpress templates

There comes a time in the life of every designer is a beginner question: “Is it time to encourage them to create my own theme.” Beyond that in the future we spend on this and perhaps we can sell them or release them, at least always the question. In my personal as I went. I am encouraged and I saw it as something very complicated, but the reality is that once we release, it’s like everything: a matter of practice, creativity and patience. On the other hand, few things are as satisfying as seeing our first theme ended, and know that what we started from scratch.

NaldzGraphics published a list of 44 tutorials for creating web templates in Photoshop, at least teach us to finish the first part: design. And then we take care of encoding, or ask someone who knows how to do if you feel that this time we do not encourage. I recommend practicing with the list, which runs templates simple, complex, classical and grunge style.
