You can upload images up to 4 mb, in jpg, gif or png formats. Then you have to select the area where you want the favicon, and you choose the size you need: 16×16, 32×32, 48×48, 64×64, 128×128. It’s the single best tool for this.
If you need to create a Favicon, I highly recommend going to Genfavicon

The extension .lat will be associated with the Latin American community online, this will mostly come to effect by 2009. eCOM-LAC and NIC México, organizations in charge of these changes, have throught that this will be a great way of promotion for the latin community. Older extension were: ,latin, .latino and .latam, but they are gone.
