When it comes to web designing, something what we’ve wanted in our site is not going to be precisely the same thing our customer will want to see, as professional designers, we need to decide what’s going to be the best solution for the presented issue.
Click here to continue: Even if it’s disturbing for many designers, there are estadistics that say that people actually CLICK HERE!
HOME: When it comes to create a little house to indicate the home link, to go to the main page, I honestly believe it’s important to have this in a web site to make the life of our audience simple.
Search box: I recommend this only to really huge sites, in case the customer wants to find information ASAP.
Keep it simple: I will only say the typical line “I want a bigger logo.”

I keep on repeating myself, I’m not a SEO guru. I only expose the information that I find online through my blog. Here are 10 things that I would love to share with you:
All the Meta Tags are equally important:
Just like keywords, they are not all used by the search engines. It seems that the robot tags are the most important.
You don’t need to add the website once a month to every search engine:
If you did it once, it’s ok. Otherwise, you’ll be considered SPAM.
SEO is very expensive:
I have never used the PPC compaigns, but as far as I know, they ain’t cheap!
PPC is more effective than SEO:
It’s true, but only in on the short run. Most of our visitors will not be returning back again to the site.
Hiring a SEO expert rather than a SEO company:
This is a really delicate thing, if you’re planning to step on this thin ice, please do a well deserved reasearch before stepping on it.
I cannot optimize my web pages:
Every single page that make up the web site, need to be optimized.
The only thing I need to do is to type down the right keyword:
You’ll need more than only keywords.
I need to focus on the most used keywords:
The web site has to be optimized for the most popular as well as for the unpopular keywords.
You should only work with companies that have a guarantee:
Sometimes these “guarantees” are not so safe as you might think!
SEO requieres a 1-year contract:
It’s true that the sites must be optimized once every month, but what would happen if you don’t like or you’re just not satisfied with the service they render?

When the time of optimize your website comes, some people like the www suffix in front of the domain name, while others decide to get rid of it completely.
Here are some reasons why you should use the WWW before the domain name:
- People that don’t use Internet on a daily basis relate “www” and “.com” with Internet surfing.
- It balances out the domain name, when using 3 elements: www.artegami.com
- When you introduce the domain name in the URL bar in the navigation bar and press CTRL+Enter, automatically you’ll be able to see www and .com. If your website is configured without the ”www” on the front, it will take 3 additional seconds before you can access the site.
Reasons for not using WWW:
- it’s redundant when using the http:// protocol
- Your web site has a sub-domain
- because you just don’t like the WWW

I’ve always know that SEO is Search Engine Optimization, but it’s up to now that I just discovered SEO 2.0. In the Blog SEO 2.0 I found a 15 item list about the differences between SEO and SEO 2.0.
Between the 15 difference the one that called my attention was the great amount of importance keywords have at SEO, while in SEO 2.0 Tags are way more important. Another characteristic is the fact that in SEO the visitors came mainly from search engines, while in SEO 2.0 they came from other Blogs, social bookmarks, etc. SEO is about you competition with another websites, while SEO 2.0 is about cooperation.

SEO is Search Engine Optimization. It’s something you need to do to increase the visits in your website, these visits will come from the Search engine results. The higher you appear in the search engine, the more visits you’ll have.
The SEO is not appropriate for all web sites, this will depend on the goals you have for that specific web site. Since the algorithms of the search engines are constantly changing, there’s no warranty you’ll always be on the front page of the search engine.
There are two main factors to bare in mind with the SEO
- Internal factors: The right use of the keywords and article content.
- External factors: Links to our site
These are really relevant factors for SEO, and we need to remember this when we optimize our web sites.
