ColorJack is a color theory visualiser with Illustrator export functions, among other things. Perfect for finding colour schemes or finding complementary colours.

When doing web layouts, nothing beats Browserhots.org to reveal flaws in different browser. Unless you’ve got forty computers with different operating systems and lots of time, that is.

Typetester
Typetester is a great tool for comparing typefaces for screen, and when you’re happy with what you’ve got, it gives you the CSS so you don’t have to spend time rewriting it.

Dafont.com is a collection including over 7,000 (mostly) free typefaces, searchable and neatly categorised.
