Webmaster firefox extension

28 Aug, 2008

On the last few days I have been doing some SEO (search engine optimization) for my blogs and a customer website. So I have been making a lot of research about tools that can help me with my duties.

Today I have been testing a Webmaster Extension for FireFox. With this extension, and just with a single click, you can see the page rank of every single link on a page. Plus it quality (trust rank) of the domain, and the traffic for the domain (according to compete). As I said, just with one click.

So, if you want to create a link building campaign, or if you are doing some kind of research about your competitor’s web site or blog. This extension might be really helpful, can help you save a lot of time.
Besides that, you don’t have anything to lose… Because is free of charges.

The only thing I will like to add to this extension is the alexa ranking. I know that there are a lot of people out there who did not trust the alexa rank, but hey… For marketing purposes it is very important, so maybe on the future we will see it in this extension.

Domain Express…

Are you looking for a cheap Domain Name to register?

I know… there are a lot of companies that are promoting themselves as the cheapest Domain Name registrar. This time I will review one of this companies, Domain Express.

I have to say that I like the search engine (for the domains) that they have. You can search in 1 (.com) or even 2 (.com.mx) levels of sub domains. With this feature I learn of other domain’s extensions that I didn’t know they exist, such as: org.tw, .za.com, .vg, .idv.tw, etc.
In oder words, you can search up to 50 domains at once.

What about the prices?
Well, on the index you will see that the prices are in Pound sterling (£). If you want to register a .com, you’ll need to pay £6.99 per year, if you want to register a .co.uk you’ll need to pay £2.99 per year.
But… what about the .idv.tw that you mention before? For that extension you’ll need to pay £29.99, but if you would like to have a .am or a .fm you’ll need to pay £74.99 per year.
The more expensive is the .com.mx, which is £127.99…

The buying process.
It’s actually really simple, you just have to add to the cart the domain name that you want, say if you want to purchase a hosting or not, and them the checkout.
